Il meeting vuole essere l’occasione per presentare il Progetto eMIX European Network for the Promotion and Profiling of Visual Theatre il cui principale obiettivo è quello di accrescere l’interesse per il Teatro Visuale avviando un dialogo internazionale fra i “creatori” di questo genere artistico in una rete dapprima europea e poi mondiale.

6 characters in search of a second chance.
6 strangers locked in a dream-like “huis-clos” to recreate another humanity.
6 men and women who, beyond their expectations, want to find a way to meet one another, to find a shoulder to lean on, an opportunity to live life to the full.
6 characters hindered by their will of power and frightened to reveal themselves.
6 characters building step by step a new utopia, a new way of living together.
Ara! (Now!) is Moveo Teatro’s latest creation, a highly visual and physical performance, a tragicomedy about the art of being together.

6 personaggi ostacolati dalla loro sete di potere e dalla paura di rivelare chi sono veramente.
6 personaggi che costruiscono, passo dopo passo, una nuova utopia, un nuovo modo di vivere assieme.
Ara (nuovo!) è l'ultima creazione di Moveo Teatro, una performance estremamente fisica e visuale, una tragicommedia sull'arte di stare assieme.
Origin of the idea
To mark the twentieth anniversary of the death of Etienne Decroux, who “conducted one of the most important
research into the Western theatrical tradition of the art of the actor” (Jordi Fàbrega, 2008), Moveo Teatro
presents ARA!, a dialogue between E. Decroux’s legacy and contemporary creation.
This new show aims at re-exploring and situating in the landscape of contemporary performing arts the
heritage of one of the great masters of twentieth-century theatre.
What is left of this heritage today? In which directions is the new generation of creators’ research going?
What is the place of this art of Resistance? How does this art relate, in its contemporary developments, to its
“cousins”, theatre and dance?
From these questions, and starting with the idea that today our hopes lie in the re-invention of our relationship
to “the Other” (other sex, other religion, other being, other desire, etc..), the company has entered into a
creative process mixing corporeal mime repertoire and creation as two opposites having to live together.
For each one of the show’s characters, “the Other” is this other person, close and distant at the same time,
seen as a parallel world, unattainable, but without which we could not live.
ARA! is the result of the work of the company and its 6 actors led by Stephane Levy and Sophie Kasser, a
representation of our tragicomic coming and going between altruism and selflessness, of the necessity of
meeting “the Other” who lives with its permanent denial in our actions.

La Commissione di Selezione eMIX ha scelto le Compagnie eMIX per il 2013 (termine ultimo per l’iscrizione 1.11.2012).
Abbiamo ricevuto 37 iscrizioni provenienti da 14 paesi diversi.

 The e-MIX is a new quality label for mime and visual theatre, our main objective is to expand the general interest for the genre to a wider audience. To achieve this we provide programmers of festivals, theaters, cultural centers and others this new and handy tool to encourage them to program modern visual theatre. The e-MIX starts an international dialog between the creators of this visual theatre and unites them in a european, and later in an international network.
The e-MIX is, described simply, a Promotional Network that installs a Quality label, combined with a Travelling Promotion Festival, showing annually a selection of 3 exiting and promising productions united in a framed project. An artistic (selection) committee with members of all the official partners of e-MIX will be installed to make this selection possible. They will meet regulary to evaluate the subscribed compagnies and subsequently grant or grant not the quality label.
As founder and as organizer of this project the International Mime Square Festival vzw. Belgium (Central Europe) got the next founding co-organizing members willing to organise a first edition: COS - International Mime Festival Spain (Southern Europe), International Mime Art Festival Poland (Eastern Europe), Waves Festival Vordingborg Denmark (Northern Europe). Interesting festivals in other countries already reacted enthousiastic which will allow this project to expand to a compact but integrated international network after the 2011 pilot edition. From summer 2011 also the Puppet Animation Scotland – Scotland and Arteven – Italy, have joined as associate members, and Busart - Greece and Festival de Théàtre de l’Assomption in Montreal – Canada, have joined into the project as associate members.

In questo spettacolo un uomo e una donna si incrociano; dal flash back all’incubo, dai ricordi sparsi ai desideri ossessivi, lo spettatore è libero di ricostruire il puzzle di una relazione sognata o passata, di una storia di coppia frantumata o idealizzata. Tra impronte fugaci e fantasmi, i gesti e le parole coabitano intimamente, al punto di creare elevazioni poetiche e spiazzamenti, dei grotteschi capovolgimenti di senso e dei quadri corporali di forte impatto visivo. Il testo viene così trasformato dal movimento e viceversa. Attraverso questo dialogo tra gesto e parola, il carico visivo del testo trova una risonanza sia fisica che poetica nel corpo del Mimo. Creato nel giugno 2008 presso l’École supérieure de théâtre de l’UQÀM (Montreal, Quebec), lo spettacolo Joséphina ha avuto un tale successo che è stato inserito da Omnibus nel cartellone di Rencontres Internationales du Mime di Montréal nell’ottobre del 2008, con 5 recite che hanno segnato il tutto esaurito
Synopsis
Dans ce spectacle, un homme et une femme se croisent. Du flash back au cauchemar, des souvenirs épars aux désirs obsédants, le spectateur est libre de reconstituer le puzzle d’une relation rêvée ou passée, l’histoire d’un couple brisé ou idéalisé. Entre les empreintes
fugaces et le fantasme, le geste et la parole cohabitent intimement au point de créer des croisements et glissements poétiques,
des renversements de sens burlesques et des tableaux corporels
d’un puissant impact visuel. Le texte vient ainsi détourner le mouvement et vice versa. À travers ce dialogue entre le geste et la parole, la charge visuelle du texte trouve alors une résonance
à la fois physique et poétique dans le corps de l’acteur mime. |
