Treviso: ad agosto arriva il circo contemporaneo!

IL CIELO SOPRA TREVISO the contemporary circus festival
from the 6th to the 10th of August 2025

PIAZZA RINALDI, 7.30 p.m.
6 August UNICYLE DREAM
by and with Giorgio Bertolotti
Making the square a place of exchange, a living place, where one can share a light-hearted and playful moment with an accomplice audience – and sometimes a protagonist actor. These are the foundations of this surprising and unpredictable show. The cutting irony and simplicity with which Giorgio relates to the audience are the leitmotif of a show where moments of sparkling juggling, technical evolutions astride a giant unicycle, and, as a finale, a wacky striptease balancing on a wheel that will leave the audience open-mouthed!

7 August NESSUNO. L’odissea di un Clown
by and with Giorgio Bertolotti
aid to creation Alessandro Maida, Fabrizio Rosselli
coat Elettra Del Mistro
“Nobody” is the story of a tramp, who lives in the world and moves among the rubbish, recounting his life through poetic language. Wearing a worn-out coat, he discovers, during his search, objects that populate his imagination. Through these discoveries, he experiences surreal moments, exploring themes of loneliness, hope and beauty in the present. Alternating between comic and melancholic moments, he leads the audience to reflect on what is really necessary and how every life, even the most invisible, can shine with meaning. This show was born from a profound and touching experience lived at the Beltrame shelter for homeless people in Bologna.<

8-9 August BAGATELLA
by Talbò (Lorenzo Aureli)
Wonder and amazement come from Talbò, among his sheets of paper and painted smile, who moves lightly between acrobatics and clown games, carrying a message as old as time. It is not only an invitation to children, but above all a call to adults, to those who have forgotten the magic of playing in the square. His “Bagatella” is something ineffable, so weightless as to seem frivolous. A breath of nothingness that turns into a smile. It is an invitation to lightness, a game dancing in the air, a moment of life carried by the wind.

10 August AREA 52

by La Compagnia della Settimana Dopo
conception, interpretation, original live music Emanuela Belmonte
directing consultancy Valeria Sacco, Emanuele Avallone, André Casaca
An unidentified object, probably of alien origin, has fallen from the sky at night. An American scientist from NASO is sent to the crash site to examine it with sophisticated equipment. Is it a message sent by extraterrestrials? What do they want to tell mankind? A serious, science-fiction play that takes viewers into a universe populated by green aliens and silver paper spaceships, in an entertaining, completely homemade science fiction film. A theatrical clown show that mixes live music performed with clarinet, voice, loopstation and theremin, object manipulation and figure
theatre.

PIAZZA BORSA, 9.30 p.m.
6-7 August MAGO PER SVAGO
L’Abile Teatro
by and with Simon Luca Barboni and Mirco Bruzzesi
Conceived as a silent show, it is in fact anything but silent. Mago per Svago reveals itself to the audience through its soundtrack. An enthralling rhythm that in its accents encapsulates the most significant moments of the story. It tells of a magician and his show, but above all, it tells of an assistant and his desire to conquer the stage. Classic magic as we know it is thus re-proposed in a new form: a parody of itself. The assistant and his tracing of the “great magician”, the unexpected, the mistakes, until an epilogue that overturns the entire scene and moves the spectator. Winner show of the Milano Clown Festival, Clown & Clown Monte San Giusto and Pavè du Bronze in Vevey (Switzerland)

10 August DIVA ALL’OPERA
Le Radiose
direction and writing Valentina Musolino, Emanuela Belmonte
on stage Valentina Musolino
The great opera diva, Tea della Tresibonda, dreams of performing in an Italian theatre surrounded by duchesses, counts and marquises. The reality is vaguely different: accompanying her in the recital she offers her audience is not an elegant pianist, but a rickety trumpet gramophone named Edoardo Ingranaggi. Between decelerations, overlapping discs, improbable anecdotes, medleys of the most incredible opera arias, and thanks to the fundamental participation of the audience, a cathartic change of style is achieved. A show that plays with the clichés of opera, touching on the delicacy and comedy of human desires.

8-9-10 August, 6 p.m. and 6.45 p.m. FERRUCCIO
Bottega Imata
conception and creation Flavio Barbui
‘Ferruccio’ takes you inside a truck, to a hidden place, among gears and cranks, where time stands still. Here, an old craftsman and his young helper build something unique, while all around them everything comes alive, revealing an imaginary world. A journey between mechanics and poetry, inviting the viewer to explore the imagination and where the boundary between dream and reality dissolves in the sound of a small, perfect melody.

LOGGIA DEI CAVALIERI, 8.30 and 9 p.m.

9-10 August RICORDATI
Circo El Grito
by Giacomo Costantini and Luca Terranova
direction and dramaturgy Giacomo Costantini with Luca Terranova ‘Novas’
‘Ricordati’ is the work in progress of a new contemporary magic show that explores memory, identity and the subjective perception of truth. The performance questions the traditional language of magic. The narrative is fragmented and reassembled in a flow that involves the spectator in a sort of puzzle: a man finds himself in a state of confusion in a place he does not recognise. On a table he finds the stage objects of a conjurer and instructions on how to use them. He soon discovers that he is able to perform magic and illusions with dexterity. What amazes him, however, is not his own magical effects, but rather the naturalness with which he is able to manipulate those objects of which he has no memory.
